  • How to use a hot melt glue gun?--Kingvos Electrical
1.Plug in the glue gun. Be sure the glue gun is sitting in an upright position and is over a nonburnable surface. Have something under the glue gun so that if glue drips from it, you aren't ruining your work surface with hot glue. 2.Place a hot glue stick into the back of the gun where indicated. Only put in sticks that will fit inside the glue gun and only use sticks designed for the gun 3.Turn the switch of the glue gun to "On" if there is one. Otherwise, wait for the gun to heat up. This may take a few minutes. 4.Take the glue gun in your hand, by holding the handle and having you finger on the trigger. On a scrap piece of cardboard, or other thick craft material, push down on the trigger to test the glue gun. If glue isn't coming out, put more pressure on the trigger. If glue still isn't coming out, it may need to sit for a few more minutes. 5.Test the glue gun until you're comfortable with the flow of the glue. Then get started on what you need to glue. 6.Refill the glue gun as necessary. 7.Turn off the glue gun and return to an upright position over a nonburnable surface. Let the glue gun cool completely before putting it away.

  • How the glue gun works?--Kingvos Electrical
Who Uses Hot Glue Guns? Hot glue guns have a wealth of uses, from industrial to home settings. Hot glue can be used in the production of items that have layers that need to be joined together, such as corrugated cardboard. It can also seal boxes and cartons during the packaging process. In the home or art studio, hot glue guns are used to assemble crafts, such as decorative wreaths and dollhouses. What's in the Glue? Hot melt adhesives contain a wide range of elements, including ethylene-vinyl acetate, wax, resin and any assortment of polyamides, polyethylenes, polyester or polypropolenes. The adhesive is shaped into cylindrical sticks, in an assortment of lengths and circumferences for different types of guns. How the Glue Gun Works The glue gun works by heating the glue stick until it melts. The liquified glue is then fed through the dispenser by using the trigger or manually, by pushing the unmelted portion of the glue stick down into the melting chamber, then out through the pointed nozzle. When using glue guns, a tray, aluminum foil or scrap cardboard is needed to set the gun down when not in use. The melted adhesive will drip from the nozzle, especially when the gun is resting for more than a few seconds. Once the gun is unplugged or turned off, the adhesive re-hardens within the melting chamber until the next use.

  • Removing glue from a hot melt glue guns--Kingvos Electrical
1.Plug in the hot glue gun and then turn it on if it has a switch. Most turn on when you plug them in. Allow the glue gun to heat up. 2.Load a glue stick into the gun and pull the trigger. Use the new glue stick to help push out as much of the old stick as you can. If you can, push out the entire old portion and pull the new stick back out with your fingers. If you push it in too far during use, you won't be able to do this, so watch the stick and make sure it doesn't go too far. 3.Use a metal stick, such as a paperclip pulled out straight, to scrape out the nozzle of the glue gun. Do this if the glue is old and doesn't flow well. This also works to get the remaining glue out that can't be pushed out from behind. Wipe the nozzle on a paper towel to clean it off.
